Jelly Roll’s Weight Loss Journey

Jelly Roll, the singer behind “Heart of Stone,” has achieved a remarkable milestone in his weight loss journey, shedding more than 100 pounds. As of May 2025, he has lost an astonishing total of 189 pounds, bringing his weight closer to 300 pounds than the 500 pounds he weighed when he started his country music career.

Upcoming Surgery

However, the journey is not without its challenges. Jelly Roll announced in July 2025 that he will require skin removal surgery, which is essential for his everyday comfort rather than purely cosmetic reasons. He expressed relief about his transformation, stating, “Now that I can take my shirt off and I don’t have saggy t-ts, that’s gonna be a big bonus,” during a WWE broadcast.

Struggles with Food

Throughout his life, Jelly Roll has battled with his relationship with food. In a 2024 interview with Taste of Country Nights, he admitted, “I never understood how to do anything in moderation.” He emphasized that the first step toward change was rethinking his view of food, moving away from seeing it as harmful.

“When I do eat bad, I try not to eat a lot. I’m just trying to change my entire relationship with food,” he shared, acknowledging that completely avoiding unhealthy food was not a realistic goal for him.

Secrets to Success

The 40-year-old credits his weight loss to a combination of a structured supplement plan and regular exercise. He remarked, “Even this morning I woke up five hours earlier than I’m used to waking up. I woke up this morning, walked a mile, got in the sauna, did a cold plunge.”

Training for a 5K walk scheduled for spring 2024 contributed significantly to his weight loss, enabling him to drop 70 pounds. Jelly Roll’s ongoing transparency about his journey has played a crucial role in maintaining accountability, and 28 photos have been shared to illustrate his progress.

A Fluctuating Journey

Images dating back to 2011 reveal that Jelly Roll’s weight has fluctuated greatly over the years, but since mid-2023, the evidence of his successful transformation has become increasingly clear.

Future Aspirations

While Jelly Roll has not disclosed his exact current weight, he has stated he is close to weighing under 300 pounds for the first time since middle school. His ultimate aspiration? To grace the cover of Men’s Health magazine in 2026.
